Sean is returning from his second tour of duty in Afghanistan. His first was at Bagram Air Base about 25 miles north of Kabul in 2008. This tour was a little more dangerous as he was stationed on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan at Kandahar and then at an outward staging area for about a month. Sean's Duty is Combat Search and Rescue as a Door Gunner. He is a crew member of four flying the HH60G Pave Hawk Helicopter manning either a Mini Gatling gun or a 50 cal big weapon. They flew about 3 to 5 missions a day mostly rescuing injured Afghani civilians that have been victims of car bombing, mortar attacks and/or gun fire.
